Look: Premier League trophy attracts thousands of fans at Festival City Mall, Dubai

The Castrol Magnetec Premier League Trophy was on display at the Castrol kiosk inside Dubai Festival City Mall at the weekend much to the delight of thousands of shoppers and football fans.

The iconic trophy was brought into the bustling shopping centre with several members of security carefully guarding it. The Premier League Trophy is the ultimate prize that teams battle for over 38 matches of the EPL season. It was cast by Asprey London, the Crown Jewellers, with the main body made from solid sterling silver. The crown is cast from 24-carat silver gilt.

It was a great opportunity for football fans to get up close and personal with the famous trophy that stands 104cm tall and 61cm wide weighing 25.4kg. The design is based on the theme of "The Three Lions of English Football".

Al Nassr defender Saeed Ali Ibrahim Ali Suwaidan was one of the special guests during the tour. The 25-year-old UAE Pro League star was one of several footballers in attendance.

The Premier League and Castrol announced a new partnership that began in January 2022. Castrol is collaborating with the Premier League to engage fans across the globe in Castrol’s key markets including the Middle East.

It was a fun-filled event that included freestyling and football competitions giving participants a chance to win exciting prizes.

Kids enjoyed the numerous activities including games of foosball, mini football matches and live music at Festival Square Ground Floor.
