Royal Challengers Bangalore romped to an emphatic win over Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on a busy day of Indian Premier League action on Saturday.

It was the annual battle of the India captains as MS Dhoni's Chennai went in search of a much-needed win against Virat Kohli's RCB.

KXIP looked well in control chasing 165 for the win, but a late collapse left them needing six off the last ball and Glenn Maxwell's effort fell agonisingly short of the boundary, allowing KKR to win by two runs.
