During these long days of quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have a leisure time to revisit some of my favourite past adventures through these pictures.

A few years back I finally fulfilled my much-awaited desire to experience the fearsome creature of the jungle. "The Tigers" closely and freely.

While looking for the nest of daredevils, I could not think of a better place I'd rather be to see Asia's most dominating domicile of tigers, "Ranthambhore".

Ranthambhore is located in Rajasthan, the historic princely Indian state, worldly known for the great battles, vivid culture, long generations of many brave warriors and also as the guardian angels of the ancient wild.

Not only the park but a 10th century built fort and an ancient temple of Lord Ganesha is also an interesting attraction.

The former hunting ground of the royals has currently 10 wide zones for sightseeing the tigers and other animals.

After experiencing the dense forest in an open jeep for nearly two hours, in the silence of the jungle ...

... we finally encountered the King of the territory himself who doesn't require any crown, "The Tiger". Resting under the tree, not bothered by the anonymous shutterbugs.

While I was holding a harmless canon, I could easily hear my increased heartbeat in the deadly silence filled with the sound of the non-stop shutter clicks.

Zooming in to get the perfect angle by my 70-300 mm, suddenly he woke up and look directly, fearlessly through the lens.

A drop of sweat fell from my forehead, clicks stopped for a second as we also encountered his brother who was taking a power nap next to him.

After clicking enough precious shots of the emperor, we moved on to explore the rest of the jungle but nothing could compare with those fearless, hypnotic eyes.

I have witnessed one of the most breathtaking experience of my life.
