Dead Sea: What you are looking at is a sheer salt flat on the shore of the Dead Sea in Jordan as it looks from the sky. The density of the salt creates shores made of salt like this one that stretches across the sea. The Dead Sea is the lowest area on Earth and one of the saltiest with more than 300g of salt in each litre of water. This salinity makes for a very harsh environment for animals and plants to flourish, hence the name. As you can see the water itself looks oily due to the amount and different kind of salt.

I arrived a day before to the location, set up my camp and got lost in the beauty and serenity of that place, moonless night, complete silence broken by the wind slamming my tent and trees. Cold! Freezing cold! At 3 degree Celsius! No internet or any sort of man-made elements around. I spent most of the night gazing stars and lost in the dark sky, then after only 3-4 hours of sleep I woke up, set up my gear, stood by the edge awaiting for the sun to rise to show me its beauty and bring warmth to my freezing bones. That day and that moment I felt complete happiness...
