SMASH HITS: Following are the top YouTube sensations in the Philippines, led by traditional media/entertainment outfits and individual vloggers — digital natives — that racked up a huge subscriber base and multi-billion views. The ranking is based on Social Blade numbers, as of October 31, 2021.

ABS-CBN ENTERTAINMENT: 36.7 million subscribers; 44.2 billion views; yearly earnings: $1 to  $16.3 million. It’s the official online presence of ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading entertainment brand, known as “Kapamilya”, which offers a bouquet of programs featuring Filipino celebrities.

GMA NETWORK: 25.1 million subscribers; 23.8 billion views; yearly earnings: $1 million  -  $16.6 million. Also known as the “Kapuso” Network, GMA is the main digital media rival of ABS-CBN in bringing entertainment to Filipinos worldwide.

RAFFY TULFO IN ACTION: 21.8 million subscribers; 11.01 billion views; yearly earnings: $487,600  -  $7.8 million. Raffy Tulfo is a respected Filipino broadcast journalist, radio presenter and TV personality. He is known as the “Action Man” who takes a straightforward, hard-hitting approach against crime, abuse and dishonesty in the government and private sectors. Raffy is also known for helping the poor, especially those battling bureaucratic red tape.

GMA PUBLIC AFFAIRS: 17.1 million subscribers; 10.01 billion views; yearly earnings: $616,900  -  $9.9 million. GMA (Global Media Arts) News and Public Affairs is the news and public affairs programming division of the GMA Network Inc.

RANZ KYLE: 14.5 million subscribers; 1.5 billion views; yearly earnings: $40,700  -  $650,800. Ranz Kyle Viniel Evidente Ongsee (born: May 6, 1997), is from San Juan City in Manila, who gained prominence for his dance videos. He’s also one-half of the dance duo 'Ranz and Niana’ (with step-sister Niana Guerrero). His videos also cover a range of other topics like challenges, pranks, tags, and vlogs.

IVANA ALAWI: 14.3M million subscribers; 939.14 million views; yearly earnings: $87,300  -  $1.4 million. Ivana, an Arab-Filipino actress, model and influencer, rose to fame through her social media platforms. She is the older sister of Mona Louise Rey, a child actress.

NIANA GUERRERO: 14 million subscribers; 1.189 billion views; yearly earnings: $39,900  -  $637,800. Her top-grossing videos are simple “car jams” with her brother Ranz Kyle — “Shape Of You” has clocked in 76.5 million views (https://bit.ly/3w2Eqjd); while a dance-along to “Despacito” has garnered 55.9 million views (https://bit.ly/3bpaLa7).

ABS-CBN NEWS: 13 million subscribers; 8.44 billion views; yearly earnings: $342,500  -  $5.5 million. ABS-CBN Corp is a Filipino media company based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was the Philippines' largest entertainment and media conglomerate in terms of revenue, operating income, net income, assets, equity, market cap, and number of employees, before it lost its free-to-air TV franchise. Since then, it has gained greater inroads into digital media.

JA MILL: 12.5 million subscribers; 1.303 billion views; yearly earnings: $2.4 million (est. by whatsthenetworth.com). The pair Jayzam Manabat and partner Camille Trinidad launched Ja Mill on December 7, 2016, posted their first video “I HATE PAMPANGA (HAHAHAHHA!) – JAMILL VLOGS” a year later, which grabbed over 2.1 million. They also post collaborations, skits, music videos, pranks and vlogs about their relationship. Camille admitted to Rappler having deleted the channel on August 19, 2021 after being “triggered”. Jayzam said: “Don’t worry, I don't care that you deleted it. I love you, I love you more than that channel.”

WISH 107.5: 12 million subscribers; 4.5 billion views; yearly earnings: $139,100  -  $2.2 million. The most prominent digital music radio station in the Philippines — DWNU, aka Wish 107.5. ALEX GONZAGA OFFICIAL: 11.7 million subscribers; 1.09 billion views; yearly earnings: $78,700 -  $1.3 million. Actress-vlogger Catherine Cruz Gonzaga-Morada, 33, is better known as Alex Gonzaga. ZEINAB HARAKE: 11.2 million subscribers; 756.4 million views; yearly earnings: $58,400 -  $934,400. Zeinab Harake, a Lebanese-Filipina, is one of the Philippines' most popular YouTubers, who collaborated with friends. She posted her first solo video in July 2019 (https://youtu.be/rtAi1xlx5M0) hit 1 million subscribers two months later. 12 months later, Zeinab had 6.2 million subscribers. Her followers are called “Zebbies”. She has two siblings: Wessam Harake and Rana Harake. (Rana, also a YouTuber, has 3 three million subscribers).

GMA NEWS: 10.2 million subscribers; 8.5 billion views; yearly earnings: $543,800  -  $8.7 million. This channel is the news and public affairs programming division of the Philippine media giant GMA Network Inc. It is one of the country's top online news video publishers, and is the most trusted news brand in the country, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

CONG TV: 9.01 million subscribers; 1 billion views; yearly earnings: $68,900  -  $1.1 million. The creator behind this channel is Lincoln Cortez Velasquez (born October 27, 1991), better known as Cong TV. He is a Filipino YouTuber, comedian, actor, musician, vlogger and online streamer. Junnie Boy (more than 3 million YouTube subscribers), is the brother of Cong. Both of them make funny videos with a group of friends and family called "Team Payaman”.

DONNALYN: 8.02 million subscribers; 439.1 million views; yearly earnings: $34,400 -  $550,500. She’s a talented composer and writer. Her official music video of “OMO (On my own)” had more than 18 million views in just 4 months. A charity, Influence Us, she helped establish helps typhoon victims. She currently has 5.9 million Instagram followers

WOWOWIN: 7.24 million subscribers; 928.5 million views; yearly earnings: $46,400  -  $743,100. Willie Revillame is the popular host of Wowowin, a Philippine TV variety show broadcast by GMA Network. The show was launched on May 10, 2015 on the network's Sunday Grande sa Hapon line up, and has also proven popular on the digital platform. (Twitter)

DOC WILLIE ONG: 6.66 million subscribers; 842.4 million views; yearly earnings: $45,300  - $725,100. He is a renowned cardiologist and internist, with 10 million Facebook followers. He is joined by his wife, Lisa, also a medical doctor. Together, they offer health tips mostly in Filipino language. She has 2.3 million FB followers. ‘Doc Willie’ is now running for vice president. If he wins, he’d be the first vlogger-politician in the Philippines.

JELAI ANDRES: 6.66 million subscribers; 342.6 million views; yearly earnings: $30,300  -  $484,300. Andres, 30, has built a huge following on Facebook and YouTube before crossing over to traditional media and being an actor with the Philippines’ GMA Network. (Twitter)

AKOSIDOGIE: 6.47 million subscribers; 1.06 billion views; yearly earnings: $68,500 -  $1.1 million. AkoSiDogie started off as a gaming video creator. His Filipino-language rap songs are big hits. A music video for the song “Sando Gang”, his biggest hit so far, has 17.5 million views. His content has now moved into a day-in-the-life sort of vlogging.
