Northern India faced severe cold on Friday, with Rajasthan experiencing a sharp dip in temperatures. Jaipur saw dense fog and a low of 10.2°C, while Jaisalmer, Udaipur, and Churu recorded even lower temperatures. In Uttar Pradesh, Agra was shrouded in zero-visibility fog, while Lucknow and Jhansi reported 8°C and 8.4°C, respectively.

Jammu and Kashmir endured sub-zero conditions, freezing Dal Lake’s surface. Srinagar hit -1.2°C, with colder conditions in Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Delhi recorded 9.6°C and an AQI of 348 (‘very poor’), prompting authorities to set up shelters for the homeless. Winter's grip continues to disrupt life.
