US Election 2020: From Ariana Grande to Priyanka Chopra, Hollywood reacts to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' victory

Many celebrities had used their social media platforms to encourage fans to vote in the 2020 election, and today they are celebrating Joe Biden's victory and the end of Donald Trump's presidency, as well as the historic win of Senator Kamala Harris, who becomes the first woman and first person of South Asian heritage to serve as vice president. Popstar Ariana Grande reacted by taking a joyride through what appeared to be Los Angeles. The 27-year-old songstress showed footage from a car window in which people cheered loudly with their hands in the air. Some stood on cars to scream at the top of their lungs.

Hailing Biden and holding up Harris' achievement as a shining example, Priyanka Chopra Jonas encouraged all girls to dream big. "America spoke in record breaking numbers and the verdict is in... Following news of Biden's victory, Demi Lovato took to social media to share a unifying message by posting : "Our 46th president, @joebiden !!!!♥️🇺🇸🗳 I've been waiting to post this photo because I knew deep down you would be our next President. Today we celebrate the millions of Americans who overcame barriers to the ballot box, mobilized their communities and voted in record breaking numbers. This was OUR election and WE WON TOGETHER. There's still a lot of work to be done, but today we will celebrate each other."

Miley Cyrus took to Twitter to share her excitement , the singer wrote "Now THIS is a PARTY IN THE USA! @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris," referencing her iconic 2009 party jam

Actress Eva Longoria who campaigned for Biden, tweeted her congratulations to Biden and Harris. She wrote : ''Our children were watching us as a country. To see what we would decide. Division and Hate or Unity and LOVE. We chose correctly. LOVE will always trump hate! Unity, let’s start healing as Americans!'' Mindy Kaling posted two photos of Kamala Harris now and as a child, and tweeted, "Crying and holding my daughter, 'look baby, she looks like us.'"
