The 11th edition of New York's 'Diner en Blanc' draws guests who dress in head-to-toe white attire for an under the stars dining experience.

Each group of diners must bring their own table, white chairs, a white tablecloth, and a picnic basket containing their chosen food in order to partake in the celebrations.

65 locations will host the event across six continents in 2023. Every place provides its unique gastronomic and cultural components.

New York City hosted it's first 'Diner en Blanc' in 2011.

The first 'Diner en Blanc' took place in 1988 after François Pasquier gathered a few friends on his return to France after living abroad. To find each other in the park, they all wore white.

Since everyone enjoyed the meal so much, they decided to invite more people the next year. The event evolved naturally over the years into the 10,000-person banquet it is today in Paris.
