Birthday Special: Will Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan marry actress Saba Azad?

Today is Hrithik Roshan's 49th birthday and the Vikram Vedha actor seems to be enjoying the best period of his life, personally and professionally. While he’s embarking on his new project ‘Fighter’, his upcoming movie with Deepika Padukone, the Bollywood grapevine has it that he plans to marry his lady-love Saba Azad this year.

Saba Azad made Roshan’s day special by taking to Instagram and sharing a cute album featuring adorable moments spent with the actor. The couple frequently goes out for meals and travels to far-off destinations. On his official social media handles, the actor praises Azad frequently.

The duo travels frequently to countries including Switzerland. While they are spotted together, an official confirmation of their relationship is still awaited. Last month, actress and cousin Pashmina posted pictures of the couple with his two sons posing in the snow-capped Alps for a cute family photo to to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

Roshan and Azad, according to Indian media, will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony, and their families are looking forward to the same. The reports cited sources as saying that a date could be expected by the end of this year as the duo are busy with work.

Earlier on his 46th birthday, Roshan's mother Pinkie Roshan lauded him for getting back on his feet after his 2013 brain surgery . The actor underwent a complicated operation after suffering a head injury while doing retakes for stunts of his action film 'Bang Bang!'. His mother saluted his immense courage and shared never-seen-before pictures from his brain surgery on his 46th birthday,. In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that before Hrithik was wheeled into the operation theatre, she was "almost fainting" with worry. However, he remained calm and unfazed and reassured her with a wink and smile that all would be well.

While he has been brave on several fronts, Roshan might soon be beginning a new chapter in his life. So who is Saba Azad ? The 32-year-old Azad made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with ‘Dil Kabaddi’ before doing a spate of projects for Yash Raj Films, including starring in the lead in the 2011 film ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’ opposite Saqib Saleem. She also starred in the made-for-web YouTube series ‘Ladies Room’ and even crooned a rendition of ‘Dhoom Machale’, from the ‘Dhoom’ franchise that starred Roshan in its second instalment. Her last film was ‘Feels like Ishq’ (2021), the Netflix anthology series.

Roshan is among the highest-paid actors in India and has won several awards, including six Filmfares, four for Best Actor and one each for Best Debut and Best Actor (Critics). And with films like 'Fighter' and 'Krrish 4' under his belt, the actor's success as a performer is sure to reach new peaks in the near future.
