In Pictures: Buying the iPhone 13? Here’s what you need to know about pre-orders in the UAE

Apple launched a full bouquet of iPhone 13 models on September 14 and based on available evidence, the features look quite promising, starting with the camera and the battery life. Even though the look and feel of the new model is similar to its previous iteration, Apple has definitely gone a few miles by doubling the entry-level storage at 128GB and the enhanced camera performance.

The latest range - iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max - will be be available for pre-order starting today (September 17) at 4pm UAE time and available to pick up from September 24.

In the UAE, the iPhone 13 will start at Dh3,399, the 13 Mini for Dh2,999, the 13 Pro from Dh4,199 and 13 Pro Max at Dh4,699 and over.

If you trade in your current iPhone, you can get up Dh2,535 towards a new one. Customers can trade the old iPhone at the Apple Store in Mall of the Emirates, The Dubai Mall or Yas Mall Abu Dhabi.

Alongside the flagship model, Apple also unveiled an iPad Mini with 5G, USB-C, and larger 8.3-inch retina display. The iPad Mini is currently Apple’s smallest tablet, even with the bump up in size. It features a new enclosure with narrower bezels and rounded corners. The big news is that it’s larger than the iPad Mini 5 with an 8.3-inch display (up from its predecessor’s 7.9-inch panel)

Wi-Fi models of the iPad mini are available with a starting price of Dh2,129 and Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at Dh2,729. The new iPad mini, in 64GB and 256GB configurations, comes in pink, starlight, purple, and space gray finishes.

The iPadOS 15 - an operating system designed for iPad - is available from September 20. It will be available as a free software update for iPad mini 4 and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and all iPad Pro models.

The Apple Pencil (second generation) is available for purchase separately and compatible with iPad mini for Dh529. The new Smart Folio for iPad mini is available for Dh249 in black, white, dark cherry, English lavender, and electric orange.

Clearly, the iPhone 13 series seem like the time for a switch.
