Dubai Airshow 2021: Aerobatic teams paint the skies, wow spectators

The much-anticipated Dubai Airshow 2021 opened on Sunday, the only global airshow to take place since 2019.

While industry leaders were busy learning about new products and signing deals, special aerobatic teams from across the world put up a stunning display at the venue.

The flying displays are open to the public, and tickets are free of charge.

The general public, families and children can watch the stunt pilots perform gravity-defying manoeuvres from the Skyview Grandstand, from 1pm to 5.30pm.

While there’s ample parking available, it’s advisable to use public transport. There are free shuttle buses operating from the Expo 2020 Dubai and Ibn Battuta Metro stations.

More than 1,200 exhibitors from 148 countries are participating at the event taking place at Dubai World Central airport.

Five aerobatic teams – one each from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and two from India – are participating in the aerobatic displays this year.
