Can you quarantine at home or a hotel? These are the steps you need to follow.

When you book your ticket, you will be provided basic guidelines related to the quarantine.

You will also be asked if you fulfill certain requirements, if you opt for home quarantine.

At the airport, you will go through a COVID-19 test and your request for home quarantine verified.

If you do not fulfill the home quarantine requirements, you will have to book a room at a quarantine hotel.

Once you go through the verification process, you can head towards completing the immigration process, collect your luggage and proceed to the hotel or your home.

Who qualifies for home quarantine?

For home quarantine, you should have a separate room with a private bathroom. It is also important that you or the people at home do not fall in the high-risk category.

Communication channels should be active and you should be able to follow all the precautions and guidelines.

The COVID-19 DXB Smart app, by Dubai Health Authority (DHA), needs to be downloaded for people arriving in Dubai.

If there are any changes in your symptoms, contact DHA through the app or call 997 for an ambulance.

It is advised to stay in your room as much as possible and if you do have to leave for an emergency, to follow the necessary precautions.

Precautions include following good respiratory hygiene habits like covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
