Dubai: On November 28, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) approved the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 and above.
The eligible categories include those who are fully vaccinated with the two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sputnik vaccine. The booster dose will only be given six months after the second dose.
In an announcement on its official social media channels, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced the process for how those who are of or over the age of 18 years can take the booster dose, six months after receiving the second dose.

The announcement stated that Emiratis and Dubai residents who are 18 years and above.
However, the booster dose for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine can be taken six months after the second dose.
Also, it is important to note that vaccination is available on an appointment basis only.
