Dubai: If your child is transferring schools in Abu Dhabi or applying for university admission in the UAE, you will need to have their school report card attested. This is a key requirement for most educational institutions in the UAE. In Abu Dhabi, you can easily get your report card attested through the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) using TAMM, the emirate’s official online platform for government services. The process is simple and can be done entirely online without the need to visit any government office.

What you need to know

According to ADEK, you can request the attestation of a report card for a specific academic year. The report card will include details such as the student's personal information, the school (whether private or charter) in Abu Dhabi, the curriculum followed, and the marks achieved in that academic year. This service is available for report cards issued from 2012 onwards.

Process

To use the TAMM app, which is available for Apple, Android, and Huawei devices, you will need a UAE Pass account, the official digital identity for UAE citizens, residents, and visitors. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Download and sign in: Open the TAMM app and sign in using your UAE Pass account.

2. Search for the service: Type “Issue an Attested Report Card” in the search bar and select the service to start your application.

3. Select the student and academic year: Choose the student’s name and the relevant academic year for the report card.

4. Make payment: Complete the online payment for the attestation fee.

5. Receive approval and download: After processing, you’ll receive an approval notification, and you can download the attested report card directly through the app.

Cost - The attestation fee is Dh15.

Important note - For report cards issued before 2012, applicants must visit ADEK’s Customer Happiness Centre and present a valid Emirates ID.
