Dubai: Travelling to Abu Dhabi just became even more rewarding for Etihad passengers. The Abu Dhabi Pass, a complimentary access ticket to various attractions across the city has now been upgraded to offer even greater benefits. Pass holders can now enjoy a tourist SIM card with 10GB of data, discounts on hotel stays, 24-hour unlimited access to the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus network, and much more.

On Thursday, the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways announced an expanded partnership aimed at enhancing the range of exclusive benefits available to Etihad passengers through the free Abu Dhabi Pass. Here’s everything you need to know about how to claim and maximise the perks of this must-have pass.

What is the Abu Dhabi Pass?

The Abu Dhabi Pass offers exclusive discounts on attractions across the emirate, as well as deals on essential travel services for tourists. These include special offers on tourist visas, SIM cards, and hotel stays. The pass is officially authorised by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi.

With the Abu Dhabi Pass, you can save up to 50 per cent on your trip. Additionally, pass holders receive complimentary vouchers, adding even more value to their visit.

Perks and benefits of the pass

The free Abu Dhabi Pass unlocks a range of benefits for Etihad passengers and all visitors to the emirate. These include:

  • A tourist SIM card with 10GB of data

  • Unlimited access to public buses

  • 24-hour unlimited access to the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus network, covering key attractions across the city

Pass holders also receive a 15 per cent discount at Abu Dhabi’s leading cultural venues, including Qasr Al Watan and Louvre Abu Dhabi, as well as special rates at top entertainment destinations on Yas Island. These include:

  • Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

  • Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

  • SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

  • Yas Waterworld

Additionally, the pass provides access to discounts at over 200 restaurants across the emirate, along with savings on popular experiences such as desert safaris and guided city tours.

Etihad passengers will receive an email containing a link to access the Abu Dhabi Pass via the dedicated website theabudhabipass.com. The pass is completely free, with no additional cost or app download required.

How to redeem your SIM card discount

To claim your SIM card discount, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Pass Redemption Page on the Abu Dhabi Pass website.

  2. If you are flying with Etihad, access the email sent to you and follow the provided link.

  3. Select your preferred SIM card.

  4. Apply the discount code during checkout.

  5. Receive your booking confirmation via email.

How to use your hotel discount voucher

Your exclusive hotel discount voucher code can be accessed via the Redemption Page. The voucher includes detailed instructions on how to unlock your special hotel discount.

How to use your attraction tickets

The attraction tickets sent to your email will include a barcode or QR code. Simply present the ticket at the venue for direct entry. The ticket is only valid on the date of visit selected during redemption.

The shuttle bus operates across eight key routes, connecting:

  • Yas Island

  • Jubail Island
