Stryder, Sander van Doorn, Eddie Halliwell to perform at Meydan

Dubai: Acclaimed international artists Tinchy Stryder, Sander van Doorn and Eddie Halliwell are racing into town for Super Thursday Sounds.

The post-horserace entertainment at Dubai’s Meydan will take place on March 3 to close the scintillating action on the course.

A massive success last year, with legendary artist Sting, Super Thursday Sounds runs in conjunction with the annual racing highlight and Dubai World Cup precursor; Super Thursday.

Stryder, Sander van Doorn and Eddie Halliwell will each perform a one-hour set from 8.30pm when the races are over.

Wigan boy Eddie Halliwell spoke exclusively to tabloid! Gulf News ahead of the gig.

“I can’t wait to be somewhere where the sun is shining,” he said from a dreary UK. “It’s going to be full fire and I’ll try and keep a lid on my addiction of crowd surfing. Or not.”

One of the most exciting artists from the UK, Tinchy Stryder has racked up three consecutive top 10 hits with Take Me Back featuring Taio Cruz, Number 1 featuring N-Dubz and Never Leave You featuring Amelle from the Sugababes.

Tickets for the concert only, priced Dh225, are available all Virgin Megastores and the usual online outlets.

Racing enthusiasts who have purchased tickets to watch the Super Thursday races will be able to upgrade tickets for access to the concert area for an additional Dh100.

Super Thursday Sounds starts at 11.30 pm.
