Sami Yusuf brings 'spiritique' to Dubai

Sami Yusuf will officially launch his third album Wherever You Are in the UAE, with a live performance at Virgin Megastore in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, on Wednesday.

Yusuf, whose previous records featured a predominantly religious content, told tabloid! earlier that his new album will be a departure from earlier sounds, "incorporating and utilising Middle Eastern and Western harmonics, underpinned by spirituality".

"It's called spiritique and it's something I want to stand for from now. It's more spiritual than religious. It's all-encompassing, all-inclusive and will utilise music as a facilitator for spiritual appreciation, regardless of race and religion."

The performance is scheduled for 6pm.
