Rock ‘n’ roll festival in Dubai

Six regional rock bands covering a range of sub-genres are gearing to perform at The Music Room on January 3. The event, starting at 8pm, is being dubbed ‘The Big Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival’.

Dubai-based band Behind the Locus will headline, covering some of the biggest hits from the likes of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Joining them will be Sandwash, a groovecore band characterised by “cheeky lyrics and loud guitars”, the alt-rock band DaisyGrim, the pop-rock family affair Amon, fronted by sisters who perform originals as well as covers, the melodic rock group Xalbaje and the acoustic duo Carl and the Reda Mafia.
