Therése Neaimé looks and sings like an angel, so it's no wonder she is glowing these days. Not only did Neaimé recently perform at the Dubai Skywards International Jazz Festival to raving reviews, but the singer can proudly say that her voice is gracing the airwaves around the world.

The Swedish/Lebanese singer has recently released her hit single How Could I as she continues to work on her second album. Her debut record, Livin' had the popular songs Colour of Love and Here To Stay, which were huge hits in Sweden.

Success

In the wake of the success of How Could I, which is playing on several radio playlists around the UAE and Europe, the singer/songwriter chose Dubai to be the perfect location to shoot her music video.

The two-day video shoot, directed by Peter Mars from Ligistfilm, was filmed at the Jebel Ali Golf & Spa Resort. The production was a collaboration between Ligistfilm and Temple Film, of which the latter has done numerous music videos and also represents six directors with clients such as Madonna, Christina Aguilera, U2 and Paul McCartney.

The video was shot during two hectic but well-planned days at various locations, including against an exotic desert backdrop, on the beautiful beach at Jebel Ali and on a boat in the middle of the sea.

It was obvious that Neaimé was enjoying herself while shooting her video as she walked gracefully along the sand in a flowing blue dress.

In a recent interview with tabloid! she said she is anxiously awaiting the finished product and is very happy to be in Dubai.

Excerpts:

Why did you choose Dubai to film the video?

I simply chose to film the video here in Dubai since I think it's such an interesting place to be and also because I believe it's a wonderful opportunity to show this wonderful emirate to the rest of the world.

This is not your first music video right? So how was this one better or worse?

No, this is not my first music video, I've done two before. This time around I must say that it was even better since we had so many beautiful locations at hand.

I'm also so overwhelmed and grateful for all the wonderful media attention that this video shoot received. I couldn't have asked for more than that.

What was the best and worst part of filming the video?

The best part filming the video was definitely all the wonderful people involved in it who went out of their way to create something wonderful, groundbreaking and unique.

I don't know if there was any "worst part" about making this video! The only thing that comes to mind would be the scenes that we shot in the evenings by the sea. It was freezing cold.

What is the theme of the video?

Since How Could I is a love song, the main theme is definitely love but it's also more of a fashion style video with beautiful background settings.

How does it feel to be in Dubai at the moment?

It feels great to be here in Dubai. My music seems to be spreading; we're getting more and more attention from media and press also in forms of playing the really big events.

But the biggest reason to why I think it's so wonderful here is definitely the warm and incredible welcoming that we've been receiving from the people — so invaluable. I feel blessed.
