Attention, shoppers: New department store in Abu Dhabi

The UAE is getting its own home-grown luxury department store in October.

Chalhoub Group — the people behind Level Shoe District in Dubai Mall — are opening Tryano at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, a three-storey, 20,000 sq metre “shopping paradise”.

Inspired by a garden and designed by London based retail architects HMKM, the values of the store are ‘Alive’, ‘Entertaining’, ‘Specialised’ and ‘Remarkable’, the group said in a statement on Thursday.

What’s inside? Here are five things to look out for, in addition to the fashion:

A range of exclusive beauty brands and fragrances

A space dedicated to local designers

A Parisian restaurant, Patisserie des Reves

A spa for women and children

For children, who get their own floor, there is a supervised play zone and to buy, clothing, shoes, accessories and toys.
