No refund

I have a complaint against Etihad Airways. I made a booking on June 16, 2014, which was valid for a year. Since I couldn’t use the ticket, I requested a refund in May, 2015.

The staff did not give any reference number for my complaint and stated that the request had been sent for a refund. It has been three months and I still haven’t received any refund. After so many emails, the airline informed me that there was no refund request in the system.

This is unprofessional on their part. If they don’t give a reference number for a request and if their staff is negligent in making the request, then the customer has no evidence to prove his or her point. We are at the mercy of what they say.

From Mr Sachin Sahni

Etihad Airways spokesperson responds:

We have apologised to Mr Sahni and his refund has been processed.

(Process initiation: September 15. Response from organisation: September 30. Process completion: October 15.)
