Gulf News reader Rakhee Mansukhani took this picture to call attention to an error that poses a great danger to motorists. She said: “I took this picture in the Al Muwaiji district of Al Ain. While driving, if you come across this signboard you won’t see anything wrong at first, but if you look at it carefully, you will see that the closed lanes ahead are on the left side of the road. But, on the board it says the right lane is closed ahead. The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi (DoT) must take stricter measures and ensure that theses boards are replaced immediately to prevent confusion among motorists and avert a possible disaster.” This reader is based in Dubai.
