Fence spikes safety fears

Gulf News reader Aslam Doi took this photograph in Al Muteena Road, Deira. He said: “The low metal fencing has sharp points and poses grave danger to pedestrians and passers-by. An accidental fall, especially when children are playing in the area, can prove fatal. The relevant authorities should ensure such fences are secure for the safety of the public.”
