Poets gather in Dubai

Dubai: Soka Gakkai International-Gulf (SGI-Gulf) in association with Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City will host the second edition of the poetry symposium titled ‘Poetic Heart: Connecting Humanity 2013’ on February 14 with eminent poets talking about world peace, universal harmony and the environment.

The event will feature seven renowned poets. The poets include Dr Daisaku Ikeda (Japan)–represented by Dr Akash Keiji Ouchi, Habib Al Sayegh (UAE), Prof Francesca Corrao (Italy), Dr Qais Ghanem (Canada), Silvana Salmanpour (Iran), Talil Al Sabiri (UAE) and Chemmanam Chacko (India). The poems will be recited in Arabic, English, Japanese, Italian, Farsi and Malayalam.
