Pakistani wins $1 million in Dubai Duty Free

Dubai: A Pakistani national got his biggest surprise after purchasing his first lottery ticket at Dubai Duty Free.

Numan Arif, a businessman from Peshawar, had recently decided to try his luck with the popular millionaire draw and bought a coupon online.

On Tuesday, his ticket number 0241 was picked as the winner of the $1 million grand prize during a draw at the Dubai International Airport.

The 32-year-old, who happens to run his own bike leasing company, was jubilant about his newfound fortune.

“Thank you, Dubai Duty Free for providing this life-changing experience to become a dollar millionaire,” Arif said.

Arif is the 16th Pakistani to have hit the Duty Free jackpot since the lottery started in 1999.
