Municipality destroys 2 tonnes of unsafe consumer goods

Abu Dhabi: A total of two tonnes of expired and unsafe consumer goods found during recent inspections of retail outlets have been destroyed by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality.

The items included food products, cosmetics and personal care products which were expired, as well as those that were not properly labelled or stored.

The municipality also called upon residents to check labels before purchasing products, and to report any expired items to the authorities.
