Four warehouses gutted in Sharjah fire

Sharjah: A big fire broke out in Sharjah’s industrial area No. 13 and gutted four warehouses.

The fire broke out around 12.18pm on Monday.

Firefighters from Sharjah quickly battled the flames, preventing it from spreading to adjacent premises.

Police cordoned off the area to ease the work of the Civil Defence team.

Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, director-general of Sharjah Civil Defence, told Gulf News that the operation room received call reporting the fire at 12.18.

Motorists heading towards Sharjah and Ajman reported seeing thick black plumes of smoke billowing from the site.
