Abu Dhabi Corniche parks to be upgraded

Dh8.5m will be spent on the project

Abu Dhabi: A total of Dh8.5 million is being spent to refurbish the parks and children’s playgrounds along Abu Dhabi Corniche, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced in a statement on Monday.

As part of the refurbishment, damaged play equipment is being replaced while the rubber flooring I play areas is being reinstalled. At the same time, lighting systems are being maintained and landscaping works are also being undertaken in the surrounding areas. At the same time, seating areas and walkways will also be set up.

According to the Municipality statement, the upgrades will be implemented in the Corniche’s Heritage Park, Formal Park, Lake Park and Family Park. The project is expected to be completed by November 2018.
