Dubai: The UAE community donated 18 tonnes of clothes to Oasis Mall’s ‘Clothes for Compassion’ campaign for Syrian refugees.
The clothes are being transferred with the help of Emirates Red Crescent.
“The campaign will benefit refugees in general and Syrian refugees in particular, who are now in millions,” Mohammad Abdullah Al Zarouni, manager of the Dubai branch of Emirates Red Crescent, said.
This year, the clothes donated exceeded last year’s donation by three tonnes.
The ‘Clothes for Compassion’ campaign was launched in October last year.
