Wakestock Abu dhabi 2010
What The exciting three-day wakeboarding and music festival has already started. Get down to the Abu Dhabi Corniche to enjoy watersports competitions and non-stop entertainment. Headlining this year’s festival is Lebanese music sensation Carole Samaha who will wow the crowds with her biggest hits. Arabic rock star Fady Andaos will perform on the second night bringing on stage an innovative mix of rock and eastern music. Also scheduled to perform alongside the stars are British alternative band Maximo Park and hip hop legends De La Soul.

Paolo Nutini live
What The Scottish Indie king comes to Dubai for his debut performance in the UAE. Paolo Nutini, who has played opening acts for Paul Weller, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, will be performing a blend of pop, rock, soul and reggae. He will play tracks from his albums These Streets and Sunny Side Up including hits New Shoes, Candy, Jenny Don’t Be Hasty, and Pencil Full of Lead. Nutini’s show will have you take it to the dance floor.

DUBAI SINFONIA
What Under the baton of Peter Currie, Dubai Sinfonia will perform a dynamic concert that includes Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Brahms’ Tragic Overture, two orchestral suites by Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky’s second Symphony Little Russian. The orchestra’s aim is to promote the growth of classical music in Dubai.

Fantasia Ballet
What The award- winning ballet troupe featuring UAE ballerina Alia Al Neyadi and International ballet star, Andrey V Pisarev performs at the National Theatre. The Fantasia Ballet Troupe had the privilege of representing the UAE at the International Ballet Festival in Ukraine in 2008 and ranked top among 46 countries. Fantasia Ballet will feature a magic body of work including, modern, classical and character dancing.

Royal Drive 2010
What Supercars meet superstars at this year’s Royal Drive event. A collection of exotic cars will be on display at the three-day event. A 12-hour music festival, Elements, headlined by virtual band Gorillaz will add to the fun. The band will be joined by reggae-pop’s finest, Sean Kingston who will perform his number 1 Billboard hit, Beautiful Girls and other songs. The impressive dance line-up boasts the likes of Euro-trance legend Sash, TocaDisco and
Guru Josh Project.
