Disney in Concert: Frozen is coming to Abu Dhabi next month.
A live orchestral version of the film will run on February 12-13 and February 18-20 at du Forum. It will be performed by the UAE National Symphony, including 30 musicians, 16 choir members and four vocalists.
“We are delighted to bring Disney in Concert: Frozen to the Middle East as a new genre of entertainment. Art meets live performance in a truly magical experience. Music lovers and Disney fans across the region will be moved as they rediscover the music and colours of Disney’s Frozen in a unique live performance,” said Didier Vanneste, senior vice-president and country head MENA at The Walt Disney Company.
Frozen, released in 2013, is Disney’s second highest-grossing film of all time, after Star Wars: The Force Awakens surpassed it at the beginning of 2016. Its soundtrack was particularly popular, producing the Top 40 Idina Menzel song Let It Go, which won an Oscar and a Grammy, and became the fifth best-selling song of 2014. It will also feature Do You Want to Build a Snowman? and For the First Time in Forever.
Last year in Dubai, Frozen was part of the ensemble Disney on Ice show Princesses and Heroes. The Abu Dhabi shows will be the first to focus solely on Frozen in the region.
