High energy show

In their first concert together, Sukhwinder Singh, Kunal Ganjawala and Sunidhi Chauhan delighted the audience with some foot-stomping numbers.

Those who came for the Chak De Dubai concert on Thursday found that despite having valid tickets, they still had to queue up to get wristbands before being allowed into the venue.

To make matters worse, the ushers at the main gate did not inform people about this, forcing them to come back after being refused entry even at the VIP and VVIP entrances.

But Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawala more than made up for this organisational glitch with an electrifying concert at the Aviation Club, Dubai.

Between them, the three singers have many hit Bollywood numbers and they kept the audience on its feet right through the four-hour show in their first concert together.

Warmed up

On a cold, winter Dubai evening, Kunal Ganjawala warmed up the audience with his recent hits such as Dil Keh Raha Hai, Masha Allah and Janabe Aali.

Sunidhi then upped the energy level with her lively numbers such as Aaja Nachle, Crazy Kiya Re and mind-blowing Mahiya.

Both performers interacted beautifully with the audience, encouraging people to clap, dance and join in the singing.

But Sukhwinder Singh went a step further by coming down from the stage and singing from the aisles.

Dressed in glittering crystal-studded trousers and jacket, with lights on it, he told jokes in Punjabi, danced with female fans and invited children from the audience to join him on stage in his spirited rendition of Chak De India.

Besides his popular hits such as Darde Disco, Chaiyan Chaiyan and Lagan Lagee, he also delighted the audience with some Punjabi numbers.

Kunal and Sunidhi returned on stage with audience requests such as O Humdum, Bheege Hont Tere, Sajna Ji Vaari and Dhoom Machale and the duet Tere Bin.

Sukhwinder Singh once again made a dramatic entry from the back of the tennis stadium to sing Bidi Jalaile and O Saki with Sunidhi, who ended the show on a high note with Aisa Jadoo.

The show was organised by Orbit Events & Production and presented by Pan Emirates Home Furnishings and Sweet Homes.
