To all the mothers
In this issue of Notes we dedicated a two-page report to mothers, as a small appreciation to all they have done. I know this is nothing compared to what they have given us, but at least we tried.
On this day I have to say I am speechless... she is the one I owe my life and my existance to, what could I possibly do to pay her back?
Mothers in their own way instill love in our souls and give us hope in life.
A mother is a sacred blessing that God has given us in order to appreciate, cherish and be thankful for. Here comes the day when we all should all honour the person who makes sacrifices and bears with you when many would turn their backs on you.
She is an ongoing song whose melodies and tunes are a gift from nature.
Think of the times when you were troubled, sick or feeling insecure... who was their to comfort your heart and ease your pain?
Yes, it is your mom.
She feels with you, speaks for you and stands up for you, when you feel that fairness no longer exists in the world.
Simply put by Washington Irving, 'A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind precepts and counsells to dissipate the clouds of darkness and cause peace to return to our hearts.'
It is true we never think of the reasons why we love our mothers, because if we did we would have to mention so much and would also forget a lot.
It is this precious word that we first utter and will always utter, because many of you young girls will become one some day, and then you will really understand this blessing.
