Director Vetrimaaran is turning producer with ‘Udhayam NH4’.

Debutant director Manimaran reveals that it is a love story based in Bengaluru and the story shuttles between the south Indian city and Chennai. There will be lots of action and thrills, he says.

Manimaran who assisted his school mate, national award winner and Tamil director Vetrimaaran on the sets of ‘Polladhavan’ and ‘Aadukalam,’ found his first time filmmaking experience a smooth journey.

“The script is Vetrimaaran’s who is also producing the film. He narrated the script to Sidharth and things fell into place. I had to only focus on bringing out the vision of Vetrimaaran onto the screen,” he says.

“[Vetrimaaran] is satisfied, though he feels it could have been better,” he adds.

Starring Sidharth and fresh face Ashrita Shetty in lead roles, the film also features Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon playing a cop.

‘Udhayam NH4’ will release on April 19 in India.
