Ara's angry

Ara Mina has had enough of rumours linking her to boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. Speaking through her publicist, Ara told Showbiz Tsismis that Manny has never courted her, and "will never do so because he is very much a married man".

For months, rumours said Ara has become the object of the boxing champ's affection, something the sultry actress has consistently denied. It came to a point when even the house that Ara bought for herself was said to be a gift from Manny.

'Worked hard'

"I've worked so hard in all my years in show business, and this is why I am able to buy what I want. I believe I deserve that," the actress told this column.

But could all this gossip just be a publicity stunt for Ara and Manny's new movie, we asked. There are hopes the movie will enter into the Metro Manila Film Festival, due later this year.

"The movie is a long way off, and any promotions we do for it now will most likely be ignored," Ara said, dismissing our question.
