A glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s pavilion under construction. The pavilion, will resemble a huge window opening up from the ground and soaring into the sky. It plans to offer visitors an immersive journey showcasing Saudi Arabia’s transformation.

The UAE pavillion almost complete at the Expo 2020 site. Designed in the shape of a falcon in flight, the UAE Pavilion will be a major attraction at Expo 2020 Dubai. The pavilion will tell the history of the nation as a connected global hub, and the vision of its leaders to create a peaceful and progressive society with ambitious plans for the future.

The UAE Pavilion is closely located to Wasl Plaza. It has four storeys totalling 15,000 sqm, a dedicated hospitality space on the top floor and will be full of exhibitions showcasing Emirati culture and achievements.

The pavilion will tell the history of the nation as a connected global hub, and the vision of its leaders to create a peaceful and progressive society with ambitious plans for the future.

The walkway leading to the center of the Expo site, the Al Wasl Plaza. The name Al Wasl means ‘connection’ in Arabic, and Al Wasl Plaza will be the beating heart of the Expo 2020 site, connecting the three Thematic Districts and providing a focal point for visitors throughout the six-month event.

Reflecting the theme of Expo 2020 Dubai, ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, the design and construction of Al Wasl dome is a global collaboration, involving contributions from companies from 13 countries.

The Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) will be a world-class venue offering 45,000 square metres of customisable space, housed in a 60,000 sqm site • Co-located at the Expo 2020 site, it will be a major draw for the MICE industry during the 173 days of Expo and play a key role in Expo’s legacy plans, attracting domestic and international visitors to the heart of District 2020

• Opening to coincide with the start of Expo 2020 on 20 October 2020, DEC will place delegates at the centre of the world’s greatest meeting of minds until Expo closes on 10 April 2021.

• Located near the Metro 2020 Arrivals Plaza, the center will be delivering convenient access for delegates, exhibitors and business visitors

Expo 2020 Dubai runs for six months, between October 20, 2020 and April 10, 2021 and expects to welcome 25 million visits, with 70 per cent of visitors projected to come from outside the UAE – the largest proportion of international visitors in the 168-year history of World Expos. For 173 days, it will be the World’s Greatest Show, and many of the 60-plus live events per day will be held in Al Wasl Plaza.
