Seventeen's Hoshi and Woozi are set to begin their mandatory military service this September.

On July 8, PLEDIS Entertainment announced the news with an official statement:

Seventeen members Woozi and Hoshi will enlist for their military duties in mid-September. Woozi will start active service on September 15, followed by Hoshi on September 16. Before enlisting, they will take part in the ‘HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]’ and the SEVENTEEN 5th Studio Album Yizhiyu video call fan signing as their final official activities. After beginning their service, they will pause participation in group activities but plan to stay connected with CARAT through pre-recorded content."

Previously, Seventeen members Jeonghan and Wonwoo began their service on September 26, 2024, and April 3, 2025, respectively. Fans are rather rattled and have taken to Twitter to express their grief, while wishing them well. "Two of them together??? This is painful," one wrote. "I was just shocked. I'm living the worst start of the day since recruited wonwoo and jeonghan and now Hoshi and Woozi," another wrote.
