Over 50 dancers danced to his iconic tracks, Ek Pal Ka Jeena to Ghungroo
It turned into an impromptu Hrithik Roshan festival on Mumbai’s Carter Road last weekend. Despite the drizzle, over 50 dancers gathered to celebrate the actor’s 25 years in the industry, turning the popular promenade into a dance floor. The crowd danced to his most iconic tracks — from Ek Pal Ka Jeena and It’s Magic to Dil Na Diya and the catchy Ghungroo. At one point, a full-fledged flash mob broke out.

The celebration was as much about nostalgia as it was about Roshan’s charm, that keeps seeing leaps and bounds in the ever-growing fanbase. Roshan who made one of the most memorable debuts in 2000 with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, went on to star in other hits that have achieved cult status, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. The actor himself caught wind of the tribute and shared the video on Instagram, joking, “Why was I not invited to this party? This is so cool you guys, thanks to each and every one of you!”
The timing couldn’t be better. Roshan is currently in the spotlight for War 2. Following the blockbuster success of War (2019), where face-offs with Tiger Shroff filled unnumerable Reddit threads, the sequel heightened the stakes further. The film has already crossed Rs 200 crore in India. It earned Rs 52 crore on day 1, with a 10% jump on day 2, which ended at Rs 57.35 crore.
