Gautham Menon's Pachai Kili Muthucharam holds promise.

Gautham Menon delivered last year's highest grossing Tamil blockbuster, Vettaiyadu Vellaiyadu, starring Kamal Hassan and Jyothika. This year the director is back with another urban thriller titled Pachai Kili Muthucharam. The film has Jyothika (who seems to be a favourite of the director) and Sarath Kumar.

The film, earlier titled Silandi, has managed to arouse a lot of curiosity as Kumar will be deviating from his mass hero image and playing an average vulnerable character. Kumar, who plays Jyothika's husband, gets involved in an extramarital affair. The film follows the consequences of the illicit relationship.

Kumar is excited about Pachai Kili Muthucharam as he believes the film will give a new dimension to his acting career.

The film also features popular model-turned-actor Milind Soman, who, for the first time will play the role of a villain in a Tamil film. The movie also introduces model-turned-actress Andrea in a pivotal role. Soman has not been able to make his mark in Bollywood and if the promos are to go by, Pachai Kili ... could be his ticket to fame through the movies.

A Menon film is incomplete without Harris Jayraj, who always reserves his best musical scores for Menon's films. This time again, he comes up with some melodious numbers that are topping the charts. Ace cinematographer Aravindh Krishna, a regular feature in Selvaraghavan's (another successful Tamil film director) movies has teamed up with Menon for the first time.
