Ranjith to direct superstar Rajinikanth’s next film

Director Ranjith has been signed up to direct Rajinikanth in his next yet-untitled Tamil project, according to industry sources.

“Ranjith’s project with Rajinikanth is finalised. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalised soon,” a source said.

Two-film-old Ranjith’s last outing was the critically-acclaimed Tamil thriller Madras.

Apparently, Rajini was supposed to team up with filmmaker Shankar for Enthiran 2. But the source added that the project has been pushed to next year.
