After actor-director Althaf Salim and his Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, it’s now the turn of actor Soubin Shahir to hog the spotlight.

Shahir, who kept us laughing with his role in Premam, revealed a new side to him with his debut directorial Parava, released last week in Kerala.

Parava is flying high at the box office with its simple story of two school boys and how they nurture their pet pigeons for racing. But the story is not only about pigeon racing; there is something from the past that overhangs into their lives.

Parava, produced by Anwar Rasheed and Shyju Unni, has a cast that includes Dulquer Salman, Shane Nigam and child actors Amal Shah and Govind Pai, who make a wonderful debut.
