Malayalam actor Mohanlal dismisses health rumours about Mammootty

Dubai: Rumours about Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s health have been circulating on social media, sparking concern among fans. Addressing these speculations, fellow superstar Mohanlal reassured everyone that Mammootty is doing well and there is no cause for worry.

During a pre-release event in Chennai for director Prithviraj’s ‘L2: Empuraan’, Mohanlal was asked about his recent visit to Sabarimala, where he had reportedly prayed for Mammootty. Responding to the query, he emphasised that prayer is a personal matter and should not be turned into a public discussion.

“Why must I announce it?” he said. “I went to Sabarimala and prayed for him. Someone from the Devaswom (temple administration) board leaked that receipt to the press. Prayer is personal, isn’t it? Why should we disclose whom we pray for?”

With Mammootty having a significant fan base in Tamil Nadu, concerns over his health had spread beyond Kerala. When asked if he had spoken to his close friend, Mohanlal simply stated, “Mammootty is fine. He had a minor issue, like anyone else. There’s nothing to worry about.”
