Deepa Sannidhi goes major in ‘Yatchan’

Yatchan is Kannada actress Deepa Sannidhi’s second Tamil film.

Sannidhi, who was praised for her performance in her maiden film Enakkul Oruvan, will play another significant role in Yatchan.

“I am Shwetha, an intelligent woman,” said Sannidhi, who made an impressive debut in Kannada with Saarathi.

Shwetha is a calm and composed person. However, she turns the lives of two young men, Chinna and Karthik, upside down.

“It was a challenging role that called for different emotions,” she said.

Praising director Vishnu Vardhan for his clarity of vision and the creation of his characters, Sannidhi said, “He conceives each character with specific details and even if I wandered away from my character, he would bring me back on track. Shwetha does not have any distinct trait but there is a subtlety in her behaviour and her emotions.”

Sannidhi found it comfortable working with Vishnu.

“He was approachable and I could badger him with questions. Besides, he enacted every character’s roles for the actors’ benefit.”

Sannidhi is paired opposite Arya in Yatchan.
