J. Cole and Wael Kfoury have huge star power, drawing a whopping 35,000 revellers to Abu Dhabi Corniche on Friday night for the second night of the Beats on the Beach concert series.

Running alongside the ticketed After-Race concerts on Yas Island, BOTB is a free event for the public to take part in the celebrations for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

The line-up on Friday night included Carl and the Reda Mafia, DJ Trey ‘AcE’ Smith — son of Will Smith, soulful rapper J.Cole, Lebanese king of romance Wael Kfoury and UAE star Omar Al Marzooqi. US r’n’b singer Jhene Aiko, who was previously slated to perform, did not show up due to “travel implications”.

BOTB ends on Saturday night with performances by Arwa, Malikah and Faithless, on their 20th anniversary tour.
