Lage Raho Munnabhai seems to have revived the acceptance of films that carry a social message.
Director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra have done it once again. Lage Raho Munnabhai, starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan and Boman Irani, has managed to capture the hearts of moviegoers worldwide. The film has been declared a major blockbuster. Many think that it's the first time that a Bollywood sequel has surpassed the original in terms of content.
Rumours are also abuzz that Munnabhai MBBS may soon be made into a Hollywood film by 20th Century Fox. The venture christened Gangster M D in Hollywood is likely to have Chris Rock in the lead.
Meanwhile, Lage Raho Munnabhai, where Munna who pretends to be a history professor propagating the teachings of Gandhi, was a hit with all.
In the UAE too, the Indian community has been discussing about Munnabhai's Gandhigiri (Gandhian principles).
