Ramos wins role
It's official. Rhian Ramos will reprise the role Sharon Cuneta played in the remake of the movie My Only Love. "I'm very excited to be doing this remake. Sharon is very popular and a very good actress," says Ramos. Initial reports claimed that Jennylyn Mercado would star in the Cuneta remake opposite her ex-boyfriend Mark Herras. However, it was Ramos who finally clinched the role.

High hopes
It seems Valerie Concepcion is bored with the sexy actress tag and wants to move on to bigger things. Recently she declared her intention to become a director. As if that's not enough, she has also announced her plans to enter movie production as a co-producer.

Polo Ravales will soon be back on television in GMA's gothic
telenovela La Vendetta. The show revolves around three sisters, played by Sunshine Dizon, Jennylyn Mercado and Jean Garcia. Ravales plays Mercado's husband, a well-off man named Gabby Trajano, who is one of the main antagonists in the serial.

Cruz comes clean
Beauty queen Abigail Cruz has finally admitted to dating TV host Paolo Bediones. Cruz says it wasn't love at first sight for her as she was initially put off by Bediones' reputation as a girl magnet. She says, "I didn't like him at first, but he is persistent."

False rumours
Ara Mina has had enough. The sexy actress is furious about the nasty rumours linking her with boxer Manny Pacquiao. She nearly lost her cool during a recent interview with Showbiz Central and admonished people who were spreading the false news. She even called on Pacquiao to deny the linkup and put an end to all the gossip.

Lose some, win some
Jennylyn Mercado may have lost My Only Love to Rhian Ramos, but she will be doing a movie with Chinese-Japanese actor Jacky Woo. Titled Manila – West Side Story, the movie is a musical and will showcase Mercado's singing talent. She will also release her third album under the GMA Records label soon.
