IWC Filmmaker Award now accepting submissions

The Dubai International Film Festival (Diff) and IWC Schaffhausen are now accepting submissions for the $100,000 (Dh367,217) IWC Filmmaker Award. The annual award, announced during the festival, is given to scripts for features by film directors from the Gulf.

Entries can be submitted online via www.dubaifilmfest.com until August 1. The winner will be announced in December at the IWC gala dinner during the 14th edition of the Diff.

Every year, the scripts we receive set a new benchmark in terms of creativity and innovation. We are privileged to be able to help bring the winning story to life in the cinema,” said Abdul Hamid Juma, the chairman of Diff.
