With Halloween imminent, MTV is ready to Scream.

The network announced on Tuesday that it is turning the horror movie franchise into a television series. The goal is to put 10 episodes on the air starting next October.

Jill Blotevogel, who worked on the series Harper’s Island and Ravenswood, is the executive producer.
