As the mercury scales new highs in the UAE, many people will escape to cooler holiday destinations. And for those who cannot fly out, watching a Bollywood film in the cool confines of movie theatre for a good three hours is definitely one of the best options.

tabloid! brings you the 10 most eagerly awaited Bollywood blockbusters that will hit the UAE screens from this week until August.

Sarkar Raj (June 5)

The film stars most of the Bachchan clan -Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai in the sequel to Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar. The film continues the story of Subhash Nagre and his son's control over the western Indian state of Maharashtra. The film is expected to restore Varma's status after his disastrous Aag last year.

Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic (June 26)

Director Kunal Kohli turns producer with this film after delivering back-to-back super hits such as Hum Tum and Fanaa.

The film reunites the lovable team of Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee. Mukherjee plays an angel who comes to help Saif Ali, a character who is struggling to cope with his life.

It is a fantasy film with dollops of emotions that should be a perfect treat for kids. And don't forget that Khan-Mukherjee's chemistry will be a definite delight to the viewers.

Love Story 2050 (July 3)

Ever since the promos of this film hit the screens, it has generated tremendous curiosity, thanks to its sci-fi premise.

The films marks the debut of Harman Baweja, who is expected to be the next big thing Bollywood and his real-life girlfriend, Priyanka Chopra, in a futuristic love story.

The time-travel film is completely special effects driven, with robors playing key characters.

God Tussi Great Ho (July 10)

This film has a strong star cast comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra. The film is rumoured to be a remake of the Hollywood film Bruce Almighty -Big B and Salman reprise the roles of Morgan Freeman and Jim Carrey.

The film is expected to be a roller-coaster entertainer marking the directorial debut of Rumi Jaffery, who has scripted umpteen David Dhawan hits.

Watching Big B and Salman lighting up the screen together with their magnetic presence is good enough reason to watch this film.

Kismet Konnection (July 17)

Director Aziz Mirza of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Yes Boss and Chalte Chalte fame is back with his trademark love story. This film will feature current hot favourite, Shahid Kapur.

The film pairs Kapur with Vidya Balan for the first time together, and apparently, their onscreen chemistry is sizzling. It has even led to rumours about their alleged romance during the making of this film.

Heroes (July 21)

This film is the biggest summer attraction with an all-star cast comprising Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Mithun Chakraborty and Preity Zinta together for the first time.

The film follows the journey of two young men across India where they come across real-life heroes. The film has a good dose of patriotism in its narration.

Mission Istanbul (July 24)

Bollywood action comes in full force with this Viveik Oberoi-Zayed Khan-Suniel Shetty starrer that was shot extensively in Turkey.

The big-budget film is helmed by Apurva Lakhia, who directed last year's hit action film Shootout At Lokhandwala. This time he takes on the subject of international terrorism.

An item number shot on Zayed with a popular Turkish belly dancer is considered one the film's highlights, besides, of course, the high-voltage action sequences.

Singh Is Kinng (August 7)

This is easily the most anticipated summer release. Hit machine Akshay Kumar stars as a Sikh man for the first time and is paired once again with the hot Katrina Kaif, making it an eye-candy feast for audiences.

To spice up the proceedings Snoop Dogg is expected to render a rap number alongside Kumar.

Drona (August 14)

Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in his first superhero role. The film is expected to be Bachchan's answer to Hrithik Roshan's Krrish.

Priyanka Chopra will play Abhishek's sidekick and will help kick some butt in this special effects extravaganza, made by Bachchan's childhood friend Goldie Behl.

Bachna Ae Haseeno (August 14)

The latest hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor will be seen romancing three hot heroines -Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba -in this Sidharth Anand directed movie.

The film pairs real-life lovers Kapoor and Padukone for the first time and this film also marks their first release since their sensational debuts in Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. A perfect date flick that should appeal to youngsters.

All release dates are tentative and subject to change.
