Katrina Kaif joins Twitter for Cannes debut

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif has joined Twitter to promote her first appearance at the Cannes International Film Festival.

Kaif will be walking the red carpet on the first day of the 12-day festival, held from May 13-24, as the ambassador of cosmetic brand L’Oreal Paris and also be a part of the opening ceremony.

“Such a fun day with the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor at the LOrealParisIn press conference! #CantWaitForCannes,” read Kaif’s first tweet.

Kaif will join actresses Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who have represented L’Oreal Paris at Cannes on previous occasions.

Kapoor welcomed the Bang Bang! actress on Twitter.

“Had a blast sharing the stage with the lovely @katrinaatcannes. See you at Cannes. PS welcome to Twitter,” wrote the actress, who will walk the red carpet on May 16.

Aishwarya will attend the event on May 17 and 20.
